Communications Intern

As part of my degree, I completed two internships. This is the second of those internships, where I worked as a communications intern for a local public school district which wanted to update a set of public-facing documents to better serve the needs of their community.

My production consisted of three documents:

1. A report detailing the issues of their current documentation and how these documents failed to meet the needs of their school district.
2. A plain language document which effectively took the information from their original equity plan and rewrote it for their audience.
3. A plain language document which took the information from their original district goals, which had been written for a highly specialized audience, and rewrote it for a general audience.
