Getting to work as a professor while obtaining my Master’s degree — officially known as a “Teaching Fellow” — has been one of the greatest pleasures of my academic career. I value the experiences I’ve had in the classroom and all that I’ve learned from my students, even as I stand in front of the classroom in hopes of teaching them.
Included as part of this examination of my academic career, I’ve included the following materials:
For Rhetorical Theory, a research paper which marries the rhetorician to the professor. Included are two class presentations which distills my theoretical grounding into an easier “tl;dr” format.
For Conversations about Teaching, I’ve included a series of blog posts which were conceived as a series of online conversations, extending the work done in the classroom.
Finally, In the Classroom includes sample lectures, lesson plans, and class activities for the two classes I taught, Business Communication and Technical Communication.
